A neighbourhood congregation holds a heartwarming procession and service on the streets of João Pessoa for Good Friday. This was a block away from the Tambau section of the beachfront. On clear days one can see Africa looking back across from the other side of the ocean. Joao Pessoa is the furthest eastern point of Brasil. It is in the heart of the state of Paraiba. It is said it grow the sweetest pineapple in Brasil. Certainly the sweetest I've ever tasted.
