Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Rover was back from the dead. The 1993 Rover 600 was a well-made car with great styling that some motoring journalists were comparing favourably to the BMW 3-series. 7 years later Rover was in crisis mode with no money to develop new cars. The Rover 600 had ended production three years early. Where did the 600 come from, and why did its star fade so soon?
