GoldenEye 007 is remembered as the king of the Nintendo 64. But what if nostalgia has been lying to you about it — and about a lot of other games you swear were the best?

A deep dive into GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark, The World Is Not Enough, Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 & 3, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Donkey Kong 64 — and why nostalgia keeps making us crown the wrong winner.

Plus — with Nintendo's Ocarina of Time remake announcement still fresh, I dig into the internet's reaction to it, and what it really says about nostalgia versus genuine love for a game.

This isn't about hating your childhood. It's about telling the difference between "my favorite" and "the best." Those aren't the same thing, and nostalgia wants you to believe they are.
