This is Golden Curls. Emerging wide-eyed from a twisted fairytale, Golden Curls blends traditional pop music with ethereal elements and warbly new shapes. This performance was captured at Flowers and Weeds, a charming, garden shop situated on Cherokee Street.
In this performance, Golden Curls brings their song "Say Love" to life. Under the spell of Sarah Downen's enchanting vocals, we're drawn into the group's magnetic narrative. Downen, also the group's producer and songwriter, balances innocence and darkness with her pairing of soft bells and pitch-bent flutes with heavily distorted synths and other-worldly samples.
Bandmates Stephen Favazza on guitar and Philip Zahnd on drums complete the narrative with swirling textures and anchored beats, creating an immersive soundscape that lulls you into a hypnotic dance.
