The name of Jacob is found hundreds of times in the Old Testament. Normally, it is spelled with four Hebrew letters (yod, ayin, koph, beit). But there are five scriptures where a vav is added to his name - once in Leviticus and four other times in Jeremiah. Did Moses and Jeremiah misspell his name? Did some ancient scribe make a mistake? Or did God place the vav in Jacob's name as a prophecy? Furthermore, does it hold clues concerning the prophetic times in which we live in which specific prophecies are being fulfilled, such as began in the year 1840?
