History has a strange way of repeating itself. Those who study the Bible at a deeper level come to the realization that God has programmed history to develop in cycles and patterns. A prime example of this can be seen in the visual evidence that God has raised up America above all the nations of the earth for a special purpose, very similar to how he did ancient Israel. Based on the writings of the Old Testament prophets, Habakkuk, Zephaniah and Haggai, there may be reason to believe that our nation may soon come under the judgment of God just like ancient Israel did. One does not have to be a prophet to realize that America is ripe for judgment. Author David Levy released a book titled "When Prophets Speak of Judgment." He discovered that many of the headlines in our news sources were lived out in the lives of the people of Judah long ago. In fact, it's remarkable to discover the pattern he lays out, comparing America to ancient Judah. The prophecies of these three prophets take on renewed significance when they are studied in this light. Their spiritual struggles are something that must be paid attention to. Many Christians may believe that America will escape divine judgment. It is often reasoned among many that God would not punish this great and mighty nation built on Christian principles and a Christian foundation - a nation that has been responsible for 90 percent of all the world's missionary efforts. There's no way we could ever lose our independence and freedom. After all, we are a mighty country protected by God - with a powerful military to back God up just in case - right?
It is this kind of attitude that brings back memories of the great Roman Empire. The great and mighty American Empire parallels the ancient Roman Empire in stunning and eye-opening ways, which has been pointed out by many great historical scholars. But, the mighty Roman Empire fell from within because of it's corruption and internal decay. Although by comparison, the Roman Empire didn't equal America's global power and influence in physical military power and wealth, it was the America of sorts of it's day, and it still fell.

Given America's current visible and overt foundational decay from within, it only makes sense that it will suffer the same fate as ancient Rome and come under the judgment of God like ancient Israel, given America's revealed divine purpose. It is the same as ancient Israel's divine purpose, thus, America can expect the same fate eventually, given the revealed pattern it shares with ancient Israel. What once was unthinkable is now becoming very obvious. America is fast approaching judgment. It is all the more obvious considering that America has now been taken over by a Satanic and secret shadow government and it's power structure intends to bring down the nation from within and create a New World Order. This process has been underway for a long time, and it is almost complete.
Is it any wonder that the prophet Habakkuk questioned the Lord over the sin of Judah and it's impending judgment? He expressed his frustrations to the Lord wondering how much longer he could allow the nation to continue in apostasy without experiencing judgment. Was he any different from America's preachers today who are warning our nation of God's impending wrath unless we turn from the wickedness that pervades our society?
