The beef between the Pan-African camp and the Foundational Black American (FBA) movement just took an interesting turn, and this time Godfrey is in the crosshairs.
We are breaking down how the comedian tried to slide in a slick sneak diss against Tariq Nasheed by questioning the motives behind the FBA movement. Godfrey claims he’s cool with Tariq, but in the very same breath, he questions who is "paying" people to push the FBA line and keep Black people divided.
We are calling out the hypocrisy here. How can you claim to be cool with a man while basically calling him a paid agent of division? We look at the double standards of corporate Pan-Africanism, why guys like Godfrey ignore the real grievances of Black Americans and South Africans, and how the Pan-African label is often used as a convenient rebrand when a creator's business moves back home aren't panning out. If you are going to talk about who is getting paid to divide the community, we have to look at who is paying the corporate sponsors to keep preaching unity while ignoring real, systemic issues.
