Materialism:
The false belief that matter and energy are the sole components of reality. Materialism is often preached by the believer in atheist Dogma. This philosophy inevitably leads to material suffering when material goals are not met, when material gains are lost, and when the materialist realizes the fact that material life culminates in suffering through old age, disease, and death.
Voidism:
The false belief that no perceived entities actually exist, that all we perceive is illusory, and that perceived existence is, in reality, nonexistence.
Voidism is preached most notably by certain Buddhist sects, and it is, at its base, a reaction to the suffering of material life, and a desperate attempt to escape that suffering. However, all living entities know for certain that their enjoyment and suffering are real, and are by no means illusory.
Monism:
The false belief that we are all non-different from each other, and also all non-different
from God. Monism was most notably preached by Shankara, and although it is nominally distinct from voidism, it is in reality the same, because any non-differentiated entity is essentially non-different
from a void.
Theistic Realism (Theistic Dualism):
The realization that reality is divided into two basic principles; namely, the Independent Principle (God), and the dependent principle (everything else). The dependent principle is further divided into conscious dependent entities (the souls), and non-conscious dependent entities (inert matter and energy).
Theistic Realism is taught most notably by Madhvacharya, and is also accepted by the vast majority of human beings on the planet (who identify as Christians, Muslims, and Jews).
Inconceivable Simultaneous Oneness and Difference:
Called Acintya Bhedabheda Tattva in Sanskrit, it is the realization that God is simultaneously non-different from and different from every other entity, both conscious and non-conscious. Because our material minds are conditioned to think in terms of difference and non-difference being incompatible, it is not possible to completely comprehend this fact on the material platform.
This philosophy is understood to be the supreme culmination of Theism, and is most notably taught by Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the most recent Avatara of God. He initiated the Sankirtana movement --
the chanting and singing of God's Holy Names.
