God of War: Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the original "God of War" game, developed by Ready at Dawn and released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2008. The gameplay focuses on combat with some light puzzling and platforming. Despite the PSP's hardware limitations, the game delivers impressive graphics and fluid gameplay, similar to the PS2 games, making it a standout title on the platform.

Chains of Olympus is singlehandedly responsible for changing the face of development on the PSP. During development RAD convinced Sony to unlock the PSP's CPU allowing them to push the limits of the platform.

Upon its release, "Chains of Olympus" received critical acclaim for its technical achievements and engaging gameplay, becoming one of the highest-rated PSP titles. In 2011, it was remastered for the PlayStation 3 which is what I've used to review it.
