Before becoming a god, and before destroying Olympus, Kratos was a servant to Ares. Then, on the night Ares tricked Kratos into killing his own wife and daughter, Kratos broke his oath to the god. As an oath breaker, Kratos was ruthlessly hunted by The Furies, beings whose sole purpose was to ensure justice was dealt to those who were deemed traitors. As Kratos sought to free himself of his bond, he would have to face an ultimate truth that would set in motion the events of his future, and the future of the world.
