So here we are once again at the Goathill Junction Railroad, but this time it gets even more action packed than the last weekend! This was when my dad and I went out to a small miniature railroad so that we can take some videos of the trains that were running at the time. It was very hot out there, so hot you’d start thinking you might wind up in Australia! Okay maybe not that hot, but it’s still a lot of fun to experience such a wonderful organization like this.

Special thanks goes to my dad for filming some shots, and the wonderful folks at this wonderful railroad organization for such an incredible experience I know we will never forget.

Here’s a bit of a downside: The day before, my mother and I had to take pictures for a little league sports group, except we overslept! We had to cancel the trip and instead go home. on the way home we went to countless yard sales and found some good stuff. Unfortunately on that same day, at the Goathill Railroad, they were running THREE steam locomotives! While on the 16th, the day dad and I took the videos, they only had ONE. That’s my usual life as a content creator, dealing with inconvenience after inconvenience on a daily basis since 1999, my birthyear.

Here’s the upside: There were a lot of unique catches I was able to catch on this day. First one being the Rio grande GP7 and the only operating steam locomotive at the time No.3, which was already being stored away for the day at around halfway into the day. Still lucky to catch the little steamer while it was still operating, and a custom painted GP40 locomotive resembling UP’s SP Heritage Unit No.1996, and several others also seen on the property. And to ride on these trains? You just have to see it to believe it. Even better, you go and head on down to Costa Mesa and check this out yourself! You will not be disappointed. Every hour, every minute will be worth spending, especially if you have your own kids and they might find this stuff amazing! Go on down to the Goathill junction, and see what it has to offer. There are a few surprises that even Betty Snicklefritz (my mother’s Facebook account) would love just as much as I do. If only I can convince her that my hobby is just as fun as shopping at thrift stores on a daily basis. Not. There are other things other than shopping that are worth the time spending, and this is one of them. Always has been, and always will be.
