On July 1, 2026, a potentially dangerous situation developed at Boston Logan International Airport when Jazz Aviation Flight 614, operating as Air Canada Express 8614, crossed the hold-short line for Runway 22L after landing on Runway 27.
At the same time, Delta Flight 1156, an Airbus A220, was descending toward Runway 22L.
The tower controller spotted the conflict and immediately instructed Delta to go around, preventing the landing from continuing while the runway was occupied. Public flight-tracking reconstructions suggest Delta was already extremely close to the runway when the maneuver began, although those altitude estimates have not been confirmed by an official investigation.
