In this webinar we present a methodology, developed by the WSP water team in the Santiago Office, to select climate change models (GCMs). The methodology helps the user to reduce the uncertainty of climate change projections, allowing better decisions based on risk appetite and the GCMs performance.
The methodology applies the general criteria recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), through the application of different statistical tests. We will explore client challenges such as specific purposes (water balances, and infrastructure under extreme events) and discuss the results obtained from the methodology.
This webinar can be relevant to hydrologists, water resources specialists, and climate change specialists, within the water, mining and infrastructure projects.
