The Glendale Stagecoach Station and Inn was built in 1872 by John McClure and was on the road connecting Pueblo to Colorado Springs. It had many wood corrals to house horses and stagecoaches, large gardens, and fruit trees to supply meals. The upstairs rooms were for rent to tired travelers passing through.
Glendale Station met its destruction in 1921 when a local dam burst and almost all the buildings and homes around the area were wiped out.
While the building survived the intense flood that happened, the business suffered, and it has since sat empty. An eerie ghostly woman has been seen in a tattered gray wedding dress wandering the area and is still seen to this day....
