In 1960, Glen Campbell moved from Albuquerque, NM to Los Angeles to advance his career as a musician. In October of that year, he joined The Champs, an American rock band most famous for their Latin-tinged surf instrumental song "Tequila."
Glen had to audition to join The Champs, and he submitted his tryout on tape. The attached recording is a portion of that audition with his signature chops on guitar!
