At the Gigabyte booth at Computex 2026, Product Manager Andrew Yu walks us through two new designs for Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus processors: the overclocking‑focused Z890 Aorus Tachyon Duo X Ice and the mainstream‑friendly Z890 Aorus Elite Duo X. The Tachyon rotates the CPU socket 90 degrees and relocates DRAM to the top edge of the board, shortening trace routing to improve overclocking headroom and making space for a full set of onboard controls designed with input from world‑record overclocker HiCookie. The Elite Duo X introduces support for four‑rank CUDIMM memory modules that enable up to 256GB of system memory (128GB per DIMM) while still achieving speeds up to 8,000 MT/s and beyond.
