in may and june of 2019, i went to Taiwan, and inevitably went to a bunch of gift shops, and every single time. every SINGLE time.
once when i was seven, we went to costco and i tried to pick up a watermelon, but my feeble child hands couldn't not contain the melon and i dropped it, smashing pulp and seeds all over the floor. i spent the rest of the shopping trip thinking the security guards were gonna arrest me. i don't think gift shops have security guards, but maybe the cashier could have like, grabbed me.
