This small Stone Park is the workplace for Master Jang Gong Ik, the sculptor Dol Haerubang. In the sculpture garden located in Hallim, we see stones or even millions of stone carvings by Mr. Jang himself for the past 40 years. We heard that Mr. Jang is now 83 years old and with the help of his son, the stone carving business is still strong in Jeju!
Basalt process is a symbol of Jeju Island that is everywhere. As it is against the law to take the basalt itself off the island, visitors can only have it in souvenir form (including Dol Haerubang). This park offers a variety of Dol Hereubang (stone statue meaning '' Old Grandfather '). Prepared by expert craftsman, Jang Gong ik, statues of Buddhist fusion with a distinctive way of life on Jeju Island. Friendly imagery combined with humor and satire will fascinate visitors.
With stairs and a sloping surface leading to the entrance of the park. To avoid stairs, disabled people may have different touring routes. While most of the parks are on a flat surface, some can be bumpy. Because of the stairs, wheelchair users may find it difficult to explore the cave in the park.
