For AuroraSAVE Officer Jaime Gonzalez Dominguez, that story is personal.
Growing up in a trailer park in Denver, Jaime saw many of the same challenges that some of Aurora's youth face today. He watched friends make choices that led them down difficult paths. What made the difference in his life were the mentors, coaches and teachers who invested in him and helped him see a different future.
Today, Jaime serves with AuroraSAVE because he understands the power of that guidance firsthand.
AuroraSAVE is a dedicated collaborative group with the city that connects youth who may be at risk of involvement in violence with mentorship, support services and resources designed to help them make positive choices and build safer futures.
Jaime's story is a reminder that behind every badge is a person, and behind every young person is potential.
As Jaime says, we're more than just a badge. We're a resource.
