Getting Stuck in the Rain at Magic Kingdom, Minion Mania at Universal, & Typhoon Lagoon Sippers! @TheBrookhartProject

And we're back! A little change in our routine really threw us for a loop. But after three days we're ready. We hope you love our three very different Orlando days from this weekend. Friday we take a relaxing boat ride to the Magic Kingdom from the Polynesian. Soon we are caught in the rain, but we remain all smiles. Saturday we go Winter Park to see our friend, Jenna of Vichcraft, at Hellcats USA and get a couple of things stitched. The afternoon is spent at Universal getting excited about Minion Land. Sunday we are sad to see the weekend go. We enjoy our evening at Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Springs. What a weekend in Orlando!

$The City Always Pulls Us Back In! | Chicagos Best Summertime Eats & Treats In true Brookhart fashion we have been touring all of our favorite food spots in Chicago while in town! On Monday we have a Memorial Day picnic in the backyard before heading to Taylor Street for burgers and Marios Italian Ice. We spend Tuesday in our old neighborhood playing at our favorite park and tackling appointments. Our dinner location of choice: Big Star Chicago. Wednesday we eat at our favorite hometown spot after a morning at the playground. The evening ends with softball and Rainbow Cone. To round it out, Thursday Sarah grocery shops and we grill before our nephews baseball games. That was some good eating! Some how we’ve made this extraordinary event, ordinary. But it’s not!!! It’s a really big deal, so today (and next week on our first Disney Cruise) we celebrate big. Peter gets on the course and kicks butt. It feels right having Sarah and the boys on the course cheering him on. The characters, spectators, and medals were more than we hoped for! We’re so honored we got to witness many of our loved ones achieve so much this weekend. It was such an emotional experience! Peter crosses the finish line with so much to be proud of. After the race we relish in our room at the Polynesian before heading to EPCOT for fireworks! This will be our last video until we’re back from the cruise.
