Our hearts are full after another incredible night of live music with Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. It is our first time being totally kid free since Teddy was born and we're feeling quite strange about it. Thankfully the boys are in good hands at the Sicard's. What do you think of their new house? Next stop! House of Blues at Disney Springs. We loved the two bands that opened: flor and The Starting Line. Soon we were singing along to the soundtrack of our life! Andrew joined the crowd so many times. He started in the crowd! He surfed on a blow up llama over the crowd! He sang and danced under a parachute in the crowd! What an amazing night!

From Ship to Showcase! | EPCOT Festival of the Arts, Boardwalk Room Tour, & Fantasmic Friday

$The City Always Pulls Us Back In! | Chicagos Best Summertime Eats & Treats In true Brookhart fashion we have been touring all of our favorite food spots in Chicago while in town! On Monday we have a Memorial Day picnic in the backyard before heading to Taylor Street for burgers and Marios Italian Ice. We spend Tuesday in our old neighborhood playing at our favorite park and tackling appointments. Our dinner location of choice: Big Star Chicago. Wednesday we eat at our favorite hometown spot after a morning at the playground. The evening ends with softball and Rainbow Cone. To round it out, Thursday Sarah grocery shops and we grill before our nephews baseball games. That was some good eating! Some how we’ve made this extraordinary event, ordinary. But it’s not!!! It’s a really big deal, so today (and next week on our first Disney Cruise) we celebrate big. Peter gets on the course and kicks butt. It feels right having Sarah and the boys on the course cheering him on. The characters, spectators, and medals were more than we hoped for! We’re so honored we got to witness many of our loved ones achieve so much this weekend. It was such an emotional experience! Peter crosses the finish line with so much to be proud of. After the race we relish in our room at the Polynesian before heading to EPCOT for fireworks! This will be our last video until we’re back from the cruise. Jamesie starts singing Imagination! so we go see Figment before butterflies and the Seas. After Living with the Land we head out, but not before a last stop at Club Cool. The cherry on top of the weekend is Sunday dinner with the Sicards.
