Meet the Teacher Night is tomorrow, so we’re putting the finishing touches on the school and classroom!
Candy-bracelet-inspired decorations, a family photo bulletin board, freshly painted cabinets, a little New Mexico cactus moment 🌵… and my favorite part: decorating lockers for every new student.
Some of these students are seniors, which means this will be their first AND last year at our school. I want them to walk in and immediately see their name and know: **we were expecting you, and we’re glad you’re here.**
Sometimes creating classroom culture is just finding small ways to make students feel seen before you ever teach them a thing.
