Stützpunktgruppe Mont St Frieux to the south of Boulogne was one of the most fortified areas in the Pas de Calais region. Stutzpunkt Höhe 158 (west) had a Würzburg radar, observation posts, heavy Flak bunkers, and artillery casemates to protect the flanks of this strategic hill.
