Lol this was random. I started working on this level like around the time I beat 8o (Spring 2017) and got 57% back then. After that fail I played it every once and then and made some slow progress. On January 2020 I got 89% and didn't really bother to finish it. Until today.
I played it for half an hour, managed to get 94% but after 10 minutes, I beat it. This is really rare to me, as for example after my 94% on TUP it took me like two months to finish it and 20K attempts more lol. Whatever.
I used both smooth fix and force smooth fix to be able to record it. Hence, the level lags a bit in that red section midway the level and the level doesn't sync perfectly after that. Also, I had pretty good reaction to the death I had on previous attempt :P All lemons made by BlackP2Sfull completed!
About the level, pretty easy except the ship parts, some of them were tough. I have many attempts, more than it took me to beat Twilight Step v2 back in 2015 so I guess this is harder?

Finally I got past that stupid first wave, I was stuck at 53% for two weeks... 62K attempts so far. Going to finish this one for good and now its done in two runs. I have a skill issue with wave so hoping to get better after this.. Probably going to spend more attempts on this than Ouroboros but please trust me, Ouro is harder ;3;

Ayy, I beat this surprisingly fast :D I started practicing this last Thursday after not really using any effort before, got 69% on Friday but after that didnt really make any progress and kept dying on the first ship. Luckily after playing for around one hour today, I beat it and fluked it from 69% :D Rip second coin though :(
This is a true 1.9 classic and its gameplay was surprisingly fun. I find it funny how first 33% are the hardest, then it gets a lot easier at 33%-67% and then the last 33% are the easiest. I enjoyed this a lot more than Necropolis and its really satisfactive to pull every part off in Acropolis. Design is good for its time, even though its really repetitive. However, it has a good atmosphere and the song empowers it as well.
Yee, this was my 29 000th star and 630th lemon :D 18 insane lemons done! Its funny how 8o took me a month and 35 519 attempts back in 2017 and now I just completely slew Acropolis. And arent they pretty much the same difficulty? Idk :D

Yoo, another insane lemon slayed, this time for milestone of 35 000 stars :D Began playing this yesterday afternoon and finished this morning. This level is kinda similar to Pyromaniac, both have an insanely hard section that makes up just 15% of the level. In this level its at the start and because of that, I died a lot after it even if I hoped fluking the level. Died like 6 times at the last wave so I had kinda bad luck but it was probably mostly because of fps drop while recording.
Storytime: I remember how years ago my good GD friend Leksitoo and I were chatting on Saturday morning on WhatsApp, I had just done some runs in this level like 60%-100% or something. He promised to give me a kiss if I beat this level soo now you owe me a kiss Leksitoo 8)))
About the level: Another popular 1.9 lemon that isnt quite as well remembered as many others. Gameplay was decent for an NC level, but it could definitely have been balanced more. 18%-35% is like something from Crimson Clutter or even Sonic Wave while rest of the sections are close to Nine Circles or Fairydust in difficulty. Design is maybe a bit more interesting than regular NC level, because of some air decorations here and there.

Happy 10th birthday to arguably the most influential level ever in Geometry Dash! Crazy how fast time flies. I was there when this level was released and I witnessed the race of conquering it with Cyclic, Giron, Sandstorm and Riot. In autumn 2015 I wanted to be first to beat it on mobile and despite spending around 20K attempts, I only got 26% and about 50-100%. In 2016 and 2017, I happened to meet Gboy a couple of times in my high school, which might make me the first Cataclysm victor who has met Gboy personally :D
About the level: A cultural icon of Geometry Dash. It may have been left to the shadow of its spiritual sequel Bloodbath but I always liked the decoration in this one more. Its crazy how well made it is despite being 10 years old by now. Its importance cant be understated. It showed the community that extremely difficult levels can also be good looking and fun to play. Before Cata, all the community had was ICDX and Silent Club and nobody really enjoyed the two. The consequences are still visible in the game and without Cataclysm, GD in 2025 would be a lot different.
My experience: I purposefully avoided beating this level for a long time. After failing to get it done in 2015, I basically shelved it and beat other levels instead, like Necropolis. The updated deco in the first ship part also made it laggier on my phone back then. Due to all my history with it, Cataclysm started to be too important level to be completed for me and I hardly played it in the following years. In 2019-2021 I probably couldve actually beat it for the first time when I beat my first extremes TUP and Retention. When the 10th birthday of Cataclysm started getting close, I decided maybe it would finally be time to beat the level. I hardly practiced it before today, and it ended up taking just around 4 hours of grinding and under 2K new attempts, which is crazy :D Almost fluked from 53 but died in the last wave which kinda sucked. However, I ended up dieing only 13 times after 40% ship which is pretty well still I think.
NOTE: Click on Steps is used in this completion. Basically a mod that lets GD utilize the full potential of phones touch sampling rate
