A pianist, composer, producer, and educator from Tanzania, Baraka Paul Issabu bridges traditional African roots with modern sound. His music reflects a deep connection to community, rhythm, and storytelling, shaped by years in Dar es Salaam’s dynamic music scene and his studies at the Sibelius Academy’s Global Music Department in Helsinki.
Baraka has performed at major festivals including Sauti za Busara, Jahazi Jazz Festival, and Zanzibar International Film Festival. His performances radiate energy, warmth, and a strong sense of cultural identity – blending African traditions with global jazz influences.
