Truth be told, I'm as big a geek as anyone. But I'm a nerd in stealth mode, probably from my 30 years working in construction, dealing with barbarians and troglodytes and plumbers, and doing my best to fit in. That training molded the brute I am today and it's that veneer of roughness that rubs the average geek the wrong way.
And that's not limited to YouTube - in real life I intimidate the typical beta, putting him on the defensive without me even saying word one. And of course I'm also more than a little bit confrontational and often sport a look on my face that strongly suggests I'm easy to irritate... but I'm as gentle as a kitten and only look like I'll take your lunch money.
