My Gears of War Reloaded "Review" for PS5/PS5 Pro, Xbox Series S|X, & PC.
We wanted a Gears of War Marcus Fenix Collection but got this? Gears of War Reloaded does not suck, is not trash, and is not a bad game; BUT it definitely is a hard sell considering it is just another lazy rerelease of Gears Ultimate Edition we got 10 years ago on Xbox One to market Gears of War E-day. Luckily if you bought this game digitally you are getting a free upgrade (not if you own it physical though) so it's not all bad, but for anyone who doesn't already own the game it is a hard sell. What should have been a great opportunity for Microsoft and Xbox to bring a whole new generation into the Gears of War Franchise is yet another pathetic half a$$ed attempt at an easy cash grab that feels similar to what Sony is doing with the Last of Us Remastered Remake. I really wish this included both Gears of War 2 & 3 since neither of those games got a dedicated modern console port or PC port meaning that neither PC or PS5 players can experience the original trilogy. But, here we are again disappointed and underwhelmed by Xbox's lack of effort when it comes to even rereleasing their old games, not to mention any new entries.
