Stellar Blade is a game that has been surrounded in controversy & drama ever since the first reveal trailer for Project Eve was shown off. First it was video games journalists angry that Eve was an attractive female video game character and now there is controversy about alleged censorship of certain Stellar Blade Outfits or Skins for Eve by Sony/PlayStation that were patched right before reviewers got their copies and released their Stellar Blade Reviews. What's sad about this discourse is under all the unnecessary drama, Stellar Blade is exactly as the name implies, Stellar. This being the first game from the Studio Shift Up outside of their mobile game Nikke is an impressive feat that most modern AAA game developers could never hope to replicate in the modern gaming landscape. Stellar Blade is definitely worthy of your time and even though it is only available as a PS5 exclusive for the foreseeable future, it is definitely a game worth making an effort to be able to play like the likes of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth & Rise of Ronin if you are a fan of 3rd person action games with fast paced combat. Also the Stellar Blade Boss Fights are some of the best in modern video games and while the story is kind of a cheap copy of Nier Automata and Nier Replicant it still manages to keep your attention. Hopefully a Stellar Blade PC Port is in the works so we can all check out Eve's "Assets" in uncompromised and uncensored fidelity.
