The Anchor is your typical desert eagle gun toting hand cannon cowboy of the wild west ripped out of their timezone and brought to the modern era!
If you love the style of one handed heavy impact big damage pistols, you're gonna find a lot to love with this glass. As an added bonus, this class can inflict HEAVY bleed procs and distribute a lot of dps potential without risking a lot of damage incoming.
Not only is it a class that wields a devastating hand cannon with added perks, but it also comes with a laser riot shield (not useful for ramming) but definitely great at blocking all incoming damage no matter how great the damage is. Swarmaks can't even penetrate this bad boy!
When I first started leveling classes in Gears 6, Anchor was one of the earliest classes I gravitated towards simple due to how stupidly easy it is to play any mode with them. Simple... Get actives with your pistol, distribute Hell! If you're taking too much Hell, deploy your ult, block all incoming attacks while proceeding to continue the onslaught. There's very little to criticize here, I just wish you could use the shield to ram enemies with, especially with a retro lancer! That would be crazy fun!
