During the State of Unreal 2026 presentation, Kate Rayner from The Coalition took the stage to showcase the technological advancements made possible by the transition from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5.

The demonstration highlighted improved environmental destruction, fully dynamic lighting powered by the latest Unreal Engine technologies, and a freely explorable version of Kalona brought to life with an unprecedented level of detail.

According to The Coalition, everything shown during the presentation was running on Xbox Series X at 60 frames per second.
