Gears 5 was never designed to support DLSS, but in this showcase we’re running the game with DLSS 5 Neural Rendering at 4K on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090.
The video includes several real-time campaign cutscenes shown in alternating Original and DLSS 5 sections, making it possible to directly compare the changes to character faces, skin, hair, armor, materials and lighting.
The final section is presented continuously with DLSS 5 Neural Rendering enabled, including both cinematics and gameplay, to show how the technology behaves during normal gameplay rather than only in static comparisons.
DLSS 5 is being injected through an unofficial experimental ReShade/RenoDX setup. Gears 5 does not natively support DLSS 5, and all footage shown here was captured in single-player content.
