Here's a look at what I might typically carry on a day hike or scout. The Haversack, handkerchief and waxed canvas mat can be found on Etsy. The Roycroft pack frame is made from sweet gum and stained with Minwax light oak. The black bands seen on it and the CRKT Woods Chogan tomahawk were made with a propane torch. Everything else was either collected over time, or bought on Amazon/eBay like : the Old Timer carving jack, Mora Bushcraft black, Bahco Laplander saw, Überleben 12oz Kuksa, GSI cup/lid/filter, Pathfinder alcohol stove, Snugpak Patrol Poncho and CRKT tomahawk. I also have 2 canvas possible pouches coming from Hemlock Mountain Outdoors that I bought with my new 50° TQ that's being made.
My next vid will be on the Snugpak 35L Xocet molle pack, yet another dirt cheap eBay find! I've also got a Snugpak RP-1 rain jacket on the way, as well as the 50° synthetic " Ugly Quilt" TQ from Hemlock Mtn. Outdoors.
