In memory of Gavin Creel. (1976 - 2024)
On January 11, 2012, Lin-Manuel Miranda presented 12 songs from a new project “The Hamilton Mixtape” that formed the basis of the phenomenal Broadway hit, Hamilton: An American Musical. At this performance, beloved Broadway actor Gavin Creel took on the role of King George, singing the King's now-iconic anthem, "You'll Be Back."
This performance was recorded in front of a live audience in its premiere performance at the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
