World bronze medallist in both 1966 and 1967, Gary finished 5th here in Geneva, but still skated a wonderful free programme that was woefully under-marked. His style is so state of the art for this time compared to many of his contemporaries and while their skating appears very dated looking back, Gary's skating still looks so fresh with wonderful speed and flow and some really excellent spins. His musicality is evident throughout and there is a joy in his skating that is wonderful to see and is still engaging to this very day.
