Garth Drabinsky is here to talk about the need to express through theatre. Garth has been a producer in the theatre for the past 10 years and says South Africa has, in many ways, been a theme that has run through a great deal of his work. He has always believe that art, and specifically theatre, can act as a powerful catalyst for social change, and one of it's most powerful influences has been its extraordinary ability to speak out against intolerance, racism, bigotry and prejudice, while at the same time attempting to build an enlightened and more broad minded society. Watch, as Garth speaks on what he calls a severe danger of letting the arts flames die out, while informing us of the lack of funding and support for the arts and the struggle that would ensue.
