Gordon Blankstein is here to talk about his political pilgrimage. He talks about his history in politics, brought up in a Liberal family, working for Pierre Trudeau, going into provincial politics and leaving government entirely and going into the private sector. At this point, Gordon's only association with politics is being a political columnist for the National Post, which he describes as "just about the most wonderful job in the world." Gordon is blunt and honest describing politics as a very ungrateful business where most don't get very much, if anything, and most have their lives disrupted and sometimes ruined by this process. Watch, as he goes into great detail discussing these subjects as well as his work at the Fraser Institute covering federalism and unity, governance and Aboriginal issues.
