"I found this map on ModDB thinking it would be a nice short Half-Life 2 map. That's when I saw the name of the map file 'gm_coolgluon'. 'gm' usually means it's a map made for Garry's Mod. So I found the same map on the Steam workshop and that's the one I played for this video.
It wasn't a bad map. If you told me my constant deaths were my skills having issues, I wouldn't argue with you. However...
It feels like this map was made for Half-Life 2. A game where the respawn mechanic wasn't a thing and the player had to rely on loading a saved game. There were no checkpoints. There were probably auto-save triggers but Garry's Mod uses a completely different save and load system so the auto-save triggers do absolutely nothing if the common player.
Despite this, it is possible to go through half of the map when the player respawns and all of the triggers have been activated. It's the train that's the issue. If the train gets back into position when it goes through darkness, the player will be able to go through the entire map when everything's been activated.
And that was my medium sized tangent. If you're going to make a map for Half-Life 2, please don't add the suffix 'gm_'. It will confuse me into thinking it was designed for Garry's Mod and I will play them in GMod which is not the intended experience."
