In this video we take a look inside the Garmin T5 GPS collar and solder in a replacement GPS antenna. This is a saving of around $100 from sending this to Garmin since they apparently charge around $150 to replace this even if under warranty since it was damaged and not a manufacturing defect? I recommend a 100W or greater soldering iron for the outer braid soldering of this coax cable, it is attached to the ground plane and it is a lot of thermal load.
