Gaming is starting to turn into an expensive hobby as all hardware prices rise no thanks to AI companies making hardware incredibly hard to find, but that doesn't really matter because Grand Theft Auto VI is going to cost $80 for the botched edition and $100 for the non-botched edition. Seriously, look at how much you lost paying $100 for this digital-only game.
I really don't understand the gaming industry, the western one at least. The eastern one is doing perfectly fine. They're doing better than the western gaming industry, what with there being a layoff every week at this point. I literally took a screenshot of an unknown number of EA employees being laid off, but a couple days later, another company laid off their employees.
The company in question is called Keywords, and they axed off almost 130 jobs. They made headlines for failing to credit translators after being involved in Ubisoft's absolutely disastrous "quadruple-A" title. Woof. That game is quite a disaster, isn't it? Let me check the counter to see if anything changed-- OH MY GOD! How is this even possible? I could barely go a week before another layoff happen. What the hell is going on with the western game industry that this happens constantly?
// Would you rather save a tiny bit of money or have the games industry crumble?
That implies that the game industry isn't crumbling. Did you not see what's going on the last couple of days?
