These are some "buzzers" I made for our Trivia night games at Ground Kontrol. They're 4" cubes routed out of 4mm thick acrylic plastic. They have a single button on top. Inside each is a 1W RGB LED and microcontroller. The 'game' is run from a little hand-held control box that can start new questions, mark players right or wrong, lock out players that already answered, etc.
These are all using Atmel ATMega48's (three channels of PWM are handy for the RGB brightness levels) and are cabled together by RJ45 terminated (ethernet) cables.
This was a 16:9, 480p video... I have no idea why YouTube decided to make it anamorphic. :-P
