A popular beat 'em up had an unusual version on the Game Gear. In this game, just one of the Lee siblings battles against the criminal world: Jimmy has been killed by the Dragon Lord gang, so now it's up to Billy to seek revenge.
Billy's journey will take him through six expansive levels, each made up of several smaller sections. These include a nighttime skid row, daytime uptown, the harbor, a subway train, the countryside, and a mansion. Many Dragon Lord henchmen block Billy's path and must be defeated with punches and kicks. Each of the six extensive levels finishes with a boss battle against a much larger enemy. Unlike previous games in the series, Billy can gather guns (with a limited number of shots) at different spots in the game, letting him take down enemies from afar easily. By collecting various power-ups, Billy can enhance his health bar and extend his number of continues. After each level, a statistic shows the hits he has received and those he has delivered.
Note: A horrible version of Double Dragon. Why didn't the developers follow the arcade game instead just like the rest of the Double Dragon games?! This game sucks.
