Welcome to Game Center Live, the weekly talk show streamed live from the NYU Game Center!
In this jam packed episode, we bring back the Micro Game Jam. Contestants d.h. and Beau, who were previously challenged by Ty and Moochi, create a game over the duration of the stream implementing three items from our Prototype Cart that they pull from a hat.
Then Ethan Zarov chats with faculty member Shawn Pierre about Ethan's IGF nominated game Letter Lattice. They chat about Ethan's game making process, what it's like to be nominated for an IGF award, and the difficulty of making a word based puzzle game.
Afterward, we introduce a new segment - My Library 5. Adjunct instructor and MFA alum Danny Hawk, and current MFA Moochi both perused our enormous game library to choose 5 games that currently resonate with them. They kept these games a secret from each other, then discussed their choices live on stream.
Finally, d.h. and Beau return to playtest their finished Micro Game Jam game "Ten Kisses".
