Its unfortunate that both the first game and this one suffer from being such terrible ports.
I quite enjoyed the quirky insane nature as well as the overall design of Deadly Premonition and you can certainly find it in Deadly Premonition 2.
That said, the entire investigation of murders takes a backseat while you mostly take part in what I would have considered side quests in the first game.
While I cant quite remember much about the first game, the feeling I had throughout Deadly Premonition 2 was that there just isnt as much going on.
Most combat is incredibly easy and some game design decisions are just ridiculous.
I guess some of that ridiculous nature is part of the charm and thats fine.
I just thought that it wasnt as engaging nor interesting overall.
