Dimash USA Fan Club is thrilled to commemorate the 3rd Anniversary of Dimash’s performances at the Gakku Open-Air Festival, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 16, 2017! More information below!
Gakku TV organized its first music festival in 2014, celebrating the launch of their music channel. The following year, at the 2nd festival in 2015, there were a reported 40,000 people in attendance. In 2016, the festival commemorated the 1,000th birthday of the city of Almaty, with an attendance of 90,000. At the time, this event was recognized as the largest event in the Gakku festival history. The 2017 festival, however, experienced a significant and rapid rise in interest and in its number of visitors. An incredible 150,000 visitors were reported to have attended the live Gakku Open-Air Festival, which lasted for 6 hours!
In 2017, according to the Gakku TV Wikipedia page, Dimash was the first headliner scheduled for the festival. He performed 5 songs for the enormous crowd of spectators, including; “My Star” (“Juldyzym”), “Unforgettable Day” (“Umitilmas Kun”), “Daididau”, “Give Me Love” (“Makhabbat Ber Magan”), and “My Beauty” (“Körkemim”).
An amazing “first” was witnessed during Dimash’s presentation of his own composition, “Unforgettable Day.” Dimash’s highest recorded note prior to this, was a more than impressive G#7. However, during this performance of the song, Dimash topped this by singing an astronomical D8 for the first time! One could say that Dimash truly made this an Unforgettable Day!
