🎵Award-winning cellist Gabriel Schwabe presents Tchaikovsky's 'Rococo Variations' and other works for cello and orchestra, accompanied by the Sinfonieorchester Aachen, conducted by Christopher Ward.

Tchaikovsky composed the 'Variations on a Rococo Theme' for cellist Wilhelm Fitzenhagen, who re-ordered the variations. This performance restores Tchaikovsky’s original intentions. The album also includes 'Pezzo capriccioso,' arrangements of 'Canzonetta' and 'Valse sentimentale,' and the rarely heard second version of 'Romeo and Juliet' in its first recorded form.
