Welcome to the Port of Rotterdam, the largest and most modern port in Europe.

We continue travelling around the Netherlands and sharing with you the very best of this beautiful country.

In this episode, we visit FutureLand and take the ferry for a tour of the Maasvlakte 2.

The Maasvlakte is a massive man-made extension of the Europoort section of the Port of Rotterdam. The Maasvlakte is built on land reclaimed from the North Sea.

During the tour you get to see some of the world's largest ships. Some ships carry over 20,000 containers.

Note the ferry tour is in Dutch, but an English audio guide is available.
