i did not mean to end up doing a 4 minute darklina canonverse tactical surrender au, but here we are. i've always wanted to edit this song, and i'm so happy that i was able to finish it for this au. this vid is very much inspired by the incredible fanon out there and is sort of a love letter to all the talented creators who make these two so compelling to read/watch 🖤
in this world, alina surrenders at the chapel in exchange for her friend's safety. in true fanon fashion, ivan and genya are all alive and continuing to work with the darkling's grisha (little note to say how much i LOVE fanon!ivan and genya). from there, its a rocky road to sharing the company of your enemy.... but sometimes, the company of your enemy is better than none.
