Fungal organisms are natural decomposers!

They support ecosystems and even regenerate life by:

Decomposing organic materials such as twigs, branches, leaves and dead plants.
Converting decomposed material into nutritious soil, where new growth becomes possible.
Redistributing nutrients from the decomposed material to living plants, helping to form the food web.

We can support the regenerative cycles of nature. Creating a compost pile, letting fallen wood rot, and spreading awareness in our communities are all ways for us to encourage, support, and advocate for the fungal networks that do so much for us.
