I’ve had fun this week making bunting for my son and his girlfriend. Lots of Christmas fabric brought together to make a red, white and green bunting gift.
Fabric Requirement. I’d start with 2-3 metres of fabric. It’s very difficult to estimate how much you’ll need because it depends on how much you want to make and the size room or area, you want your bunting for. Don’t forget you can always add more later!
I made my bunting with two sized flags; the large flag that will hold the lettering measures 7½ inches squared and the smaller flag is 4 ½ inches squared. Make the flags that suits you. Just remember to cut the fabric flags as a square piece of fabric. I made a card template to help me cut the fabric quicker and also helped with directional fabrics.
