Soul Woman is the bands most personal album to date, exploring themes of identity, healing and resilience through warm analog production and timeless songwriting.
Born in New York and raised in the church, Michelle David began singing at the age of four and later toured internationally with Broadway productions before settling in Europe. Together with Paul Willemsen, Onno Smit and Bas Bouma, she formed Michelle David & The True-tones, a band known for blending soul, funk, rhythm & blues and uplifting grooves into a powerful live experience. Their albums have earned international acclaim, including an Edison nomination and BBC Radio 6 recognition.

On May 25, 1993, a young Dolores ORiordan and The Cranberries visited the Dutch TV show 2 Meter Sessies. At the brink of their international breakthrough, the band delivered a raw, intimate, and hauntingly beautiful session that showcased Dolores’ unmistakable voice and the band’s signature melodic sound.
